Newport Family Network Project

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, families with students attending Newport Schools had to become more independent and able to operate with a much smaller network of support. It's finally time to do something about that. With the launch of the Family Network Project, the Florence Gray Center aims to help families make connections with each other and be able to rebuild their own support system. Having other adults with students in the same grade or in the same neighborhood can help when there are questions about school projects, a gap in transportation to an extracurricular, or an issue with homework. Family Networks will be launched for both Pell and Thompson families beginning in October 2025.
